Guvecheta

You need:
  • Italian sausages
  • potatoes
  • onions
  • tomatoes
  • black pepper
  • olive oil

Instructions:
Guvecheta are small clay pots used on the Balkans. Each one serves 1 person. In each clay bowl, cut and place about 2 potatoes, ¼ of onion, 1 tomato, sprinkle with salt, top with 1 sliced Italian sausage. Sprinkle with black pepper. Add 3 tablespoons of water and 1 spoonful of olive oil. Some prefer to top it with 1 egg, or cheese of their choice. I personally do not add anything else. Cover with its lid and place it in the oven. Bake for 35 minutes in 350 F. Serve warm.
